Many People struggle with feeling a lack of control and have anxiety over the things they cannot control. When you draw a line between the truth of what is controllable in life and what isn’t, you instantly have a feeling of relief. Can you really control another person’s actions? Can you control the weather, can you control what the leaders of your county are doing? Not really, you can influence but not control any of those things. Read full article here >>
Park City TV Host Terry Burden is joined by Author &
Life Coach, Terry Sidford.
Terry talks about her journey and what inspired her to write her book, "One Hundred Hearts."
I’m sure we’ve all heard the sage words of encouragement, “You are stronger than you think you are”. But when you are in the middle of a storm, it can be challenging to find your way out. Life was designed to challenge us. How else do we learn who we are and of what we are made?
I have had many opportunities to be resilient and have seen many people weather the storms of life. Through my life experiences and the lives of my friends and clients, I have learned how to understand the ability to be resilient. To know that there are answers to a problem that can’t be seen when we are struggling.
Here are few my favorite hints that have helped pull me through difficult times.
Ask For Help:
Ask your friends, family or a higher source, whatever that might mean to you. Let go of trying to figure it out yourself and ask for guidance. It could be from your own soul, angels, god, universe.
Do whatever you need to in order to feel safe, connected and grounded. Go for a walk, take a bath, read a book, help someone else in need, write a list of what your strengths are and what you are grateful for. These are all things that will bring you back home to you. You are the only one that can get yourself back up! Muster the strength needed to keep going and Do Not Give Up.
Your courage, strength and resilience come from within. Connect to your heart, spirit or soul and believe you will find an answer to any problem. You can only do your best and control what you can and let the rest go. You cannot control other people.
I recently heard my friend Kirsten Fox speak on this subject and took away some golden nuggets I want to share with you:
Allow ‘good enough’ to be your goal for the stressful time.
Ask for guidance.
Connect to YOU.
Find a silver lining. If you can’t make one up.
Attitude is everything.
Control what you can and let the rest go.
You can do it! I believe in you! — Terry
“What I know for sure is that when you declutter,
whether it’s in your home, your head, or your heart,
it’s astounding what will flow into that space and
enrich you, your life, and your family.”
— Peter Waisil
Have you ever felt so scattered and unfocused that you didn’t know what to do next? Or didn’t know what your heart was feeling or telling you? When things are cluttered, whether in your material world or your inner world, everything can feel out of order and hazy. You can’t find the words, the important paper or your favorite blouse you bought weeks ago. When this happens, I know I have not been paying attention and not taking care of things.
Being decluttered takes constant vigilance. You must continually put everything in its place and get rid of what you do not need. Things have energy that will drain you. Have you ever spent a day purging what is no longer needed and afterwords you feel a lightness and clarity again?
The same thing happens in your heart, mind and emotions. How many old beliefs, stories and attitudes are you holding on to that no longer serve you and are draining your happiness, joy and creative energy? Thoughts, like things, have energy attached to them that will bring your vibration up or down or completely stagnate you. You know what I mean, don’t you?
Pay attention to what you say and what you believe. Is it serving you or is it an old habit weighing you down? Take inventory of old stories that keep you from creating new ones in present time. Get rid of old clothes, papers, clutter. You will be amazed at the sense of getting rid of the past that opens up many more possibilities for the present and future. You will feel free and your energy level with be boundless.
What are you waiting for? Take inventory today and declutter your life.
Steps to take:
1. Sit down and journal beliefs or old stories you tell that do not serve you any longer. Replace them with beliefs that do serve you now.
2. Clean out one drawer or closet or space every week until everything is current and decluttered.
3. Be mindful of what you chose to think or add to your material space. Ask yourself “Does this bring me joy of any kind? Does it add to or take away from my happiness?”
4. Notice how this opens up energy for clarity and a more positive outlook.

I want you to meet my friend Sophia Makris who is a certified success coach and happily married mother of three!
Sophia was always non-stop, following her heart, making instant decisions towards her destiny and always saying YES to her DREAMS.
It all changed when she became a mom. She began to play it safe and say no to her dreams by putting everyone else first which only led to depression. Sound familiar?
It was when she came across her mentor and success coach that she found her true identity again and stopped playing the negative story in her head that told her, "you are a mom now and you should focus on only that, not your dreams."
While Sophia's children where 7, 5 and 6 months old she said YES to her desires by going for her Success Coach certification. She had to figure out how to create the family and life vision she always wanted. Sophia cracked the code and figured out how to manage her family and her business while still taking care of herself.
That's why she decided to interview 21 Mompreneurs who are already raising a happy family, building their dream business and living their DREAM life (including me!!).
This masterclass is called Moms Living the Dream Life: How to raise a Happy Family while Building the Business of your Dreams!

Here's a bit on the Health Specialist' Series
No matter who you speak to these days, everyone, even the dog, appears super busy, toiling away to get through their ever-growing to-do list, juggling life, family and work and wondering if they’ll be able to experience the luxury of having that little bit of time to themselves ever again.
If you’re more than a bit tired of feeling overwhelmed, overstretched or just plain exhausted, fear not, help is at hand in the form of Happy, Healthy Minds.
The last few decades have revealed a wealth of greater understanding of how the human brain works and of why we think and behave the way we do. But how is it possible to distinguish between the real science and neuromyth? Fake news is everywhere. Knowing what truly works to elevate mental performance, keeping us from flipping our lid, matters more today than ever before.
This is the reason why Happy, Health Minds has been created. By combining chapters from a number of recognised health professionals specialising in optimum brain function and psychology, this book can help you discover what it takes to maintain your cognitive and mental well-being to always function at your very best. I’m delighted to be one of the contributors.
Knowledge is power, and how you apply it is the spark to better thinking. As Jeffrey Eugenides, author of Middlesex wrote, ‘Biology gives you a brain. Life turns it into a mind.’

Recently vulnerability has been showing up all over my life and in the lives of many people I know. So I am inspired to write about it.
“Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it’s our greatest measure of courage.” — Brene Brown
Life is at best a test of our fortitude and ability to endure the many challenges it throws at us. There is, however, a gift presented in these challenges. It is the opportunity to be vulnerable. I have learned from my brilliant clients and my own life experiences and that this is where the gold within us lies.
Many people see vulnerability as a weakness. We are raised to have a stiff upper lip and not show our emotions, our humanness or our feelings. People may think they will lose themselves, when in reality they will end up finding themselves. I believe that you become weak if you do not connect to your emotions and your heart. Vulnerability will point you in the direction of the place that is most sacred to you. Who you truly are can be found at the heart of your vulnerability.
Why are we afraid to feel vulnerable? Revealing our most sacred place by wearing your heart on our sleeve can be very uncomfortable. We all want to be seen and heard for whom we are. But we might be seen as weak or we may be misunderstood. It is difficult to let yourself, your true, deepest feelings surface and be shown, but it is necessary to learn who you are and to gain confidence in who you are.
I feel every emotion known to man and everyone else’s around me! There were times in my life that I did not want to feel everything. Particularly when I had lost everything I had to a con-artist boyfriend. I was living on my girlfriend’s couch with not a penny to my name. I buried my emotions so I would not feel the pain. What I realize now, is by not feeling the pain, I could not feel love and joy which is the core of who I am. I knew the most important thing I needed to do was to start feeling again.
The emotions of pain and joy are like two sides of a coin. On one side of the coin is pain; on the other, immense joy. These emotions connect to your soul. And you cannot feel one without feeling the other.
Here are some tools to help you feel all emotions:
1. When feeling pain look it in the eye and feel it. If it is too overwhelming take a walk outside and come back to it when you are more calm. The trick is to also allow it to go away. If you hold onto it too long it is not healthy. What I have found is feeling it instead of burring it allows it to go away much faster.
2. Create a support system for yourself so when you feel vulnerable, you have a safe place to be. Find a friend or a coach to allow you a safe environment.
3. Notice that when you allow yourself to be vulnerable and feel the array of emotions associated with vulnerability you feel more connected to YOU and can in turn feel more joy.
4. Notice how you are allowing others to be more vulnerable the more vulnerable you are.
It takes courage to be human and to experience all of life which includes being strong, persistent, loving and vulnerable … all at the same time.
