“What I know for sure is that when you declutter,
whether it’s in your home, your head, or your heart,
it’s astounding what will flow into that space and
enrich you, your life, and your family.”

— Peter Waisil

Have you ever felt so scattered and unfocused that you didn’t know what to do next? Or didn’t know what your heart was feeling or telling you? When things are cluttered, whether in your material world or your inner world, everything can feel out of order and hazy. You can’t find the words, the important paper or your favorite blouse you bought weeks ago. When this happens, I know I have not been paying attention and not taking care of things.

Being decluttered takes constant vigilance. You must continually put everything in its place and get rid of what you do not need. Things have energy that will drain you. Have you ever spent a day purging what is no longer needed and afterwords you feel a lightness and clarity again?

The same thing happens in your heart, mind and emotions. How many old beliefs, stories and attitudes are you holding on to that no longer serve you and are draining your happiness, joy and creative energy? Thoughts, like things, have energy attached to them that will bring your vibration up or down or completely stagnate you. You know what I mean, don’t you?

Pay attention to what you say and what you believe. Is it serving you or is it an old habit weighing you down? Take inventory of old stories that keep you from creating new ones in present time. Get rid of old clothes, papers, clutter. You will be amazed at the sense of getting rid of the past that opens up many more possibilities for the present and future. You will feel free and your energy level with be boundless.

What are you waiting for? Take inventory today and declutter your life.

Steps to take:

1.  Sit down and journal beliefs or old stories you tell that do not serve you any longer. Replace them with beliefs that do serve you now.

2.  Clean out one drawer or closet or space every week until everything is current and decluttered.

3.  Be mindful of what you chose to think or add to your material space. Ask yourself “Does this bring me joy of any kind? Does it add to or take away from my happiness?”

4.  Notice how this opens up energy for clarity and a more positive outlook.
